I will try to tell you why in a good manner but believe me it will not be that easy. I bought the p2k because it was really cheap and after one day using it I was very disappointed and fell into depression.
Be sure to get the latest OS in yours too.OS 2.26. Fill it up with ROMS and you have 128MB of sounds. You really cant ask for more in a one space module. The housing and the features of this synth are great. Dont grade this P2000 on the composer ROM. I have all of them and they are really awesome to work with. You gotta experiment with the other ROMS.
The composer ROM that comes in this puppy is good but no where hear as cool as the other ROMs that are available from EMU. With the variety of ROMs available you can do any kind of music that you can imagine. If you dont like it, there are 15 or 16 other ROMs to put in the 4 slots that are absolutely incredible. Can send midiProgramNames to hosts that support it.The key to the proteus 2000 is to realize that you are NOT stuck with the composer ROM. Supports 14 parameters for options that are not (or not easily) Midi controllable. Supports 12 different Reverb/Chorus effect types. Supports up to 5 different stacked soundfonts even on different banks (16384 maximum instruments). Supported MIDI events/controllers can be found in BassMidi documentation.įeatures: Fast and lightweight. Bassflac.dll is also optional, it's only needed when FLAC compressed SFZ files are used. It's only included for easier parameter customization. Bass.dll and Bassmidi.dll have to be copied to the same (VST) directory as BassMidiVsti.dll. Using x86/圆4 host bridges are not recommended.
